Westside Family Health Center (WFHC) accepts all patients regardless of their insurance or financial status.

Medi-Cal Announcement : Starting April 1st, 2023, all Medi-Cal beneficiaries will be required to renew their Medi-Cal benefits annually to keep their coverage active. The Department of Public Social Services is asking all Medi-Cal customers to update their information to stay up to date on any announcements and renewal needs. Our federally funded healthcare program allows WFHC to offer a wide range of services to patients through a sliding-fee scale. We also take Medi-Cal and various forms of insurance. What to Bring if You’re Applying for Health Coverage

For all programs, you will need:

Proof of income (pay stub, unemployment insurance stub, income tax return, Social Security award letter, a letter from your employer if you are paid in cash*)
Government-issued Photo ID (State ID, Driver License, Passport, Military ID card, etc.)
Proof of address (such as a utility bill with your name on it, or a driver license*)

If you have them, you should also bring:

Birth certificate
US residency card
Automobile registration
Social Security card
Proof of pregnancy

If you are not a U.S. citizen, you are still encouraged to bring in proof of income and address verification as you may be eligible for a variety of no-cost or low-cost health care programs.

These documents are used solely for determining your eligibility for health care programs and will NOT be submitted to the US Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) or Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Do You Qualify for Medi-Cal?

Even if you’ve been turned down in the past, the Affordable Care Act has made more people eligible for Medi-Cal.

You may be eligible if:

You are a legal resident of California (or have refugee status).
Your income is less than $1,437 for a family of one (check here for all family sizes).
You are under 25 or 50 and over.
You are pregnant.
You are blind or disabled.
You are already enrolled in Cal-Fresh, Cal-WORKs, SSI/SSP, Refugee Assistance, or Foster Care/Adoption Assistance Program.
