Westside Family Health Center (WFHC) is a nonprofit community clinic dedicated to providing high quality, low-cost healthcare to more than 13,000 women, men, and children. Founded in 1974, WFHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center with 50+ employees and volunteers. We are currently seeking a Medical Biller to join our team. Primary Responsibilities

Submit billing data to the appropriate insurance payors process claims /mailing of all billing claims for insurance companies, County, State and Federal agencies for services rendered clients in a medical setting in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 to 5 years medical billing experience in a medical practice, clinic or hospital setting.
Must be proficient in Medical terminology, terms and abbreviations; ICD-10 and CPT coding s; the mechanics of HMO’s and IPA’s and PPO’s; Medicare/Med-Cal regulations; proper billing methods; computer functions and applications.
Ability to sit at a desk and work on the computer 80% of the time.
Proficient in electronic medical records.
Ability to Muti-task and work independently
Ability to work as a team with multi-disciplinary staff.
Computer skills and effective communication skills a must
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred

Education High school diploma or equivalent required.
