Primary Responsibilities

The Community Outreach Worker is responsible for conducting street outreach on behalf of the agency to increase patient numbers along with increasing social media presences, conduct educational presentations related to health at schools and other community locations. Other responsibilities include conducting reproductive health counseling and enrolling patients into Covered California.

Qualifications
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image while maintaining contact with the focus audience.
  • Self-motivated, flexible and a team player, must have the ability to work independently, yet know when to ask questions.
  • Must be well organized, have excellent phone/people skills, and be able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills desirable.
  • Must have strong computer skills and effective communication skills a plus, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Available to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Education High school diploma. College or other post-secondary education preferred.
