Dear Friend,

In my nearly 20 years as CEO of Westside Family Health Center, a new site has always been part of the plan.  A site where we could expand our current services and add additional services such as oral health, mental/behavioral health and vision that would continue the high quality standard of care offered at WFHC.  A site that would serve as a gathering place for community members who want to learn about healthy lifestyles, take childbirth education or parenting classes.    A site where community volunteers would work in comfort knowing that their services were highly needed and appreciated.  Finally, a site that felt like coming home – welcoming and comforting – to our team members, our patients and our community.

Today, we are pleased to announce that day is here!  Westside Family Health Center has entered into a 20-year lease for a building located at 3861 Sepulveda Boulevard in Culver City.

The 3-story building, formerly the LA Weekly site, will be reconfigured to include 12,000 square feet of clinic space and 12,000 square feet of administrative space with 88 parking spaces.  The plans include 24 exam rooms, 4 dental operatories, 2 vision rooms and 7 consultation rooms allowing better and quicker flow for our patients.  The vision program will offer both eye exams and a limited offering of frames, while dental will be offered for both children and adults.

This dream of ours was first supported by Darlene and Alan Lasher with a $1 million pledge three years ago.  It has taken us this long to find a building, but it is such a wonderfully appropriate building that it was worth the long effort.

You will be hearing a lot from us over the next year.  Our plans are to be in the building 365 days from today – October 1, 2019.  We will share our progress and plans with you as we move forward.  You are part of our family.  I hope you feel the same joy we feel about our future.

Breathe.
