Pui-Yee Yu is an Associate Clinical Social Worker completing supervised clinical hours toward licensure. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in both Political Science and Chinese Language from the University of California – Berkeley, with distinction in general scholarship. She also attended the University of California – Los Angeles, where she concurrently earned a Master of Social Welfare (concentrating in social work with organizations, communities, and policy) and a Juris Doctor (with specializations in public interest law and policy and critical race studies).
Pui-Yee has worked with individuals from many different cultures with widely varying life experiences, including children and adolescents, community members facing housing and economic instability, survivors of domestic violence, people in grief, and forensic populations. She is committed to principles of social equity, which she strives to integrate into professional and personal life.
Pui-Yee enjoys building collaborative and warm relationships with patients as they work toward specific goals with respect to behavioral health and interpersonal relationships. In her free time, she enjoys being outside, writing creative non-fiction, reading science fiction, and spending time with family and friends.
WFHC’s goals are to improve the patient care experience, improve the health and outcomes of the patient population, and reduce per capita costs of patient care.
