Kendra Godfrey is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Kendra is originally from Louisiana and has served many populations across five states. Her experience includes working as a K-12 school-based therapist in Long Beach, Compton, Watts, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, and West L.A, as well as a therapist in community clinics in Long Beach and West L.A.
Kendra also worked with those suffering from severe mental illness in a residential setting, as well as an educator for grades 5-12. Kendra has a passion for working with children and their families, and approaches care through an attachment and neurobiologically-informed lens.
She utilizes child-centered play therapy, child-parent relational therapy, and attachment play therapy. She also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, sand tray, mindfulness, Gestalt, art therapy, and trauma-focused care as needed. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, exploring insects, drawing, going to the beach, running, and being entertained by her family and their many pets.
WFHC’s goals are to improve the patient care experience, improve the health and outcomes of the patient population, and reduce per capita costs of patient care.
