Pediatrics-Strong Start
Pediatric Care: Strong Start, our pediatric program, is part of our continuum of care that begins with Blooming Babies, our prenatal program. Study after study shows that it is never too early to develop healthy habits. At WFHC we provide parents, caregivers and their children with the needed tools. We offer sick-child exams and well-child checkups, school-readiness physicals and recommended immunizations 4-3-1-3-3 (4 DTaP, 3 polio, 1 MMR, 3 Hib, 3 hepatitis B). We provide screenings for lead poisoning, hearing and vision.

Pediatric and Family Literacy: WFHC is part of a national partnership with Reach Out and Read. We provide books for children, ages birth to 5 years at their well-child visits, while local contributions have allowed us to extend our literacy program to all our pediatric patients up to age 10. We also provide literacy resources for families.
